Headed for Cucaracha

Archived on: Excursions - Packo at 2:26 pm on Friday, November 11, 2005

We went to the Cucaracha progressing as the inability to do so if it retrasábamos, and it was great. For those who do not know it, the Cucaracha is a mountain refuge that lies at the bottom of the slope of the prisoners because it is taking the path reaches of the star in the ravine of San Juan, Sierra Güejar.
The road from the village of the star is very nice with lots of variety of colors, and with a singularity: next to the river for vaguely that the trail is all vegetation, however the slope on the other side of the river is almost deserted: Why? because it gives you a hillside always the shade and the other, always the sun, that simple, here you get a picture for veais the difference:

The slope is durilla but the arrival worthwhile, as it had before the Alcazaba, the Mulhacen and Veleta by the lesser-known side. I'm going to put some fotillos selected here but if anyone wants to see them all to visit the personal album.
