Resizing images massive

Archived on: GNU / Linux, Informatica, Recipes and tricks - Packo at 11:59 pm on Monday, April 3, 2006

Some time ago I found myself with the problem of the large size of the images from the cameras. One of the stores as is to not lose quality, but what if for some reason you deserve save with less size but occupy much less?

Take all the pictures and modify them one by one is a latazo, so I made a small python script that changes all the photos in a directory with photos of 800 x 600 (or 600 x 800), with 85% and quality jpg with the S_ prefix.

The script is here: convertir_800_600.py

If you want, abridlo and change what you want, is easy.

By the way, you've got to have installed ImageMagic, which usually is installed.
